Our Vision, Mission & Values

Putting People, Choice and Opportunity at the Heart of Everything We Do

Our Vision

A Community Where Everyone Can Belong

Our vision is for adults with learning disabilities to have the choice, confidence and opportunities they need to live fulfilling lives.

We want the people we support to feel valued, included and able to take part in the things that matter to them. Whether that means developing new skills, building friendships, becoming more independent or enjoying new experiences, Parkside is here to help create those opportunities.

We also want to strengthen connections across our local community, helping create a place where everyone has the opportunity to participate and belong.

Our Mission

Person Centred Support, Built Around What Matters

Our mission is to provide high quality support for adults with learning disabilities and associated needs, with each individual at the centre of the support they receive.

We actively involve the people we support, their families, carers and wider circles of support when developing our services. By listening to individual needs, wishes and goals, we can provide support that is meaningful, flexible and appropriate.

People’s circumstances and ambitions can change over time. We are committed to listening, adapting and continuing to develop our services so that the people we support have opportunities to grow, participate and enjoy greater independence.

Our Values

The Principles That Guide Parkside

Person Centred

Every person is different. We take time to understand individual needs, interests, choices and aspirations so that support reflects what matters to them.

Choice

We encourage people to make choices, express their preferences and have a meaningful voice in the support and opportunities available to them.

Independence

We create opportunities for people to develop practical skills, confidence and greater independence in ways that are appropriate for them.

Inclusion

Everyone should have the opportunity to participate and feel part of their community. We work to remove barriers and create welcoming, inclusive experiences.

Respect

We treat every person with dignity, kindness and respect, recognising their individuality, strengths and contribution.

Connection

Friendships, relationships and community connections are an important part of life. We create opportunities for people to meet others, build relationships and feel a sense of belonging.

Part of Our Community

Creating Opportunities Beyond Parkside

Our work extends beyond our centre in Aldershot.

Through relationships with local people, businesses, organisations and community groups, we aim to create more opportunities for adults with learning disabilities to participate, contribute and feel included.

These connections also help Parkside continue growing, developing and providing valuable support within the local community.
