Volunteer With Parkside

Whether you are an individual looking to give something back or a business searching for a meaningful team experience, volunteering with Parkside is a rewarding way to support adults with learning disabilities.

Volunteer Your Way

Every Contribution Is Valuable

You do not necessarily need to make a long term commitment to support Parkside.

Whether you can give an hour of your time, help with a particular activity or support a specific project, your contribution is greatly appreciated.

Our team can talk through the opportunities currently available and help find something that works for you.

Ways to Volunteer

Gateway Evening Group

Help create a fun and welcoming environment at our Wednesday evening social club.

Gateway meets every Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm, with members enjoying a varied programme of activities and entertainment.

JET Social Club

Support our Thursday evening social group and get involved with a variety of activities alongside JET members.

JET meets every Thursday from 7pm to 9pm.

Garden Group

If you enjoy being outdoors, you can support our Thursday Garden Group as members develop practical gardening skills and work together on projects at Parkside.

The group meets every Thursday from 10am to 2pm.

PIP & The LIFE Project

Volunteers can also support our weekday day services, helping people take part in activities such as arts and crafts, cooking, music, movement and activities within the local community.

An extra pair of hands can make a real difference.

Corporate Volunteering

Bring Your Team Together for a Local Cause

Parkside also welcomes businesses looking for meaningful volunteering opportunities for their teams.

Corporate volunteering can provide an opportunity to step away from the usual working environment, work together as a team and make a positive contribution to a local charity.

Opportunities will depend on our current services and projects, so please speak to us about how your business would like to get involved.

Give Something Back and Gain Something Too

Volunteering is a chance to support the Parkside community, but it can also be a valuable experience for you.

Build Confidence

Meet new people and become involved in a friendly, supportive environment.

Gain New Experiences

Develop practical experience that may support future employment or help you return to work.

Develop New Skills

Learn through new activities, responsibilities and experiences.

Connect With Your Community

Build stronger relationships with local people and become part of the Parkside community.
